This Privacy Policy explains how My Jungle Trip ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you visit our website, contact us, or book a safari or stay. By using this website or submitting an enquiry form, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us — your name, mobile number, email address, postal address, travel dates, party size (adults and children), preferred national park or safari, and any notes you enter into our contact or booking forms.
- Communication records — messages you send us by WhatsApp, email, phone or social media, and our replies.
- Technical information — basic, non-identifying data such as browser type, device and pages viewed, collected by standard web logs and embedded services (for example Google Maps and YouTube).
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a safari or stay quotation.
- To make and manage bookings — safari permits, jeep and guide allocation, accommodation and transfers.
- To contact you about your trip before, during and after travel.
- To keep internal records of enquiries and bookings for follow-up and customer service.
- To improve our website and services.
When you submit an enquiry, your details are sent to our team by email and recorded in a private spreadsheet, and a WhatsApp message is prepared on your device so you can send your enquiry to us directly.
3. Sharing your information
We share your information only as needed to deliver your trip — for example with forest department booking systems, resorts and camps, naturalists and guides, and transport providers. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Third-party services
Our website uses Google Maps and embedded YouTube videos, and our enquiry forms use WhatsApp and Google services (Gmail and Google Sheets via Google Apps Script). These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
5. Data retention
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by writing to myjungletrip01@gmail.com.
8. Children
Our services are booked by adults. We only collect the number of children travelling so we can plan the trip appropriately; we do not knowingly collect personal details of children directly.
